You may find that the desktop slideshow stops if you enter hibernate mode. I tried everything listed in this topic but NOTHING has worked!!! the guy with the power plan suggestion is lying as it brings up command prompt when I type 'edit power plan' Like I said, this worked for me! Good luck if there's anyone else that needs help with this! :) Now try editing your desktop background once more.
